वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how a significant event or report becomes a matter of collective moral attention: when something momentous arises, it is discussed everywhere—privately and publicly—showing the social weight of dharma-related decisions and their consequences.
Vaiśampāyana describes a widespread buzz: people—both locals and visitors—are respectfully repeating the same remarkable report, and the topic is being discussed in multiple groups at crossroads and in assembly halls.
