evaṁ tā bhīru rotsyanti nihatājñātibāndhavāḥ | hatamitrā hatabalā yeṣāṁ kruddhāsi bhāmini ||
एवं ता भीरु रोत्स्यन्ति निहतज्ञातिबान्धवाः । हतमित्रा हतबला येषां क्रुद्धासि भामिनि ॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores the moral consequence of wrath: anger that drives conflict results in the suffering of innocents—especially families—who are left to mourn slain relatives, friends, and protectors.
Vaiśampāyana narrates a warning addressed to a woman (bhīru/bhāmini): because of her anger, others—described as women deprived of kin, allies, and strength—will be left lamenting in the aftermath of violence.
