Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the dharmic ideal that true strength is not mere violence but the capacity to restrain and subdue unrighteous aggression. It frames martial power as a protective, ethically directed force—sufficient in one disciplined hero when aligned with duty.

Sanjaya reports a declaration about a single warrior’s adequacy to check the Kaurava forces as they advance for battle. The line functions as a narrative emphasis on confidence in a key champion’s prowess at a tense pre-war moment in the Udyoga Parva.
