संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal of decisive courage joined with social responsibility: victory in battle and the establishment of a lawful household (marriage) that sustains lineage and reputation (yaśas).
Sañjaya praises a hero who defeats the Bhoja kings in battle from a single chariot and then marries Rukmiṇī; from her is born Pradyumna, known as Raukmiṇeya.
