अध्याय २९ — वासुदेव–संजय संवादः
Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
ये चैवान्ये कुरुमुख्या युवान: पुत्रा: पौत्रा भ्रातरश्वैव ये नः । यं यमेषां मन्यसे येन योग्यं तत् तत् प्रोच्यानामयं सूत वाच्या:
ye caivānye kurumukhyā yuvānaḥ putrāḥ pautrā bhrātaraś caiva ye naḥ | yaṃ yam eṣāṃ manyase yena yogyaṃ tat tat procya nāmayaṃ sūta vācyāḥ ||
युधिष्ठिर उवाच—ये चान्ये कुरुमुख्या युवानः पुत्राः पौत्रा भ्रातरश्चैव नः; यं यमेषां यथा योग्यं मन्यसे, तं तं तथा संबोध्य, सूत, सर्वेभ्यः प्रोच्य वद—पाण्डवाः स्वस्थाः सानन्दाश्चेति।
