कामार्थलाभेन तथैव भूयो न तृप्यते सर्पिषेवाग्निरिद्ध: । विषयोंका चिन्तन अपने शरीरको पीड़ा देता है। जो विषय-चिन्तनसे सर्वथा मुक्त है
kāmārthalābhena tathaiva bhūyo na tṛpyate sarpiṣevāgniriddhaḥ |
सञ्जय उवाच—कामार्थलाभेन भूयोऽपि न तृप्यते जनः; सर्पिषेवाग्निरिद्धः, तद्वद् विषयैर्धनलाभैश्च तृष्णा वर्धते, नोपशाम्यति।
