Udyoga Parva 21 — Bhīṣma’s Conciliatory Counsel, Karṇa’s Rebuttal, and Dhṛtarāṣṭra Sends Sañjaya (भीष्म-कर्ण-विवादः; संजय-प्रेषणम्)

वैशम्पायन उवाच धृतराष्ट्रस्ततो भीष्ममनुमान्य प्रसाद्य च | अवभर्त्स्य च राधेयमिदं वचनमत्रवीत्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! तदनन्तर धुृतराष्ट्रने कर्णको डाँटकर भीष्मजीका सम्मान किया और उन्हें राजी करके इस प्रकार कहा--

dhṛtarāṣṭras tato bhīṣmam anumānya prasādya ca |

avabhartsy(a) ca rādheyam idaṃ vacanam atravīt ||
