Amba approaches the Paraśurāma context; Hotravāhana’s counsel and Akṛtavraṇa’s report (अम्बोपाख्यानम्—रामदर्शनप्रसङ्गः)

The verse frames dharma as a ‘straight/even path’ and presents the ideal of being firmly established in a just course through the guidance of a great ascetic; ethical rectitude is portrayed as something one can be set upon and stabilized in, even amid intense grief.
Bhishma narrates that a great ascetic (contextually Parashurama) will place Amba on the rightful path; upon hearing this assurance, Amba repeatedly weeps and respectfully bows to her maternal grandfather Hotravahana, preparing to speak and to act according to the instruction given.
