Decision on Command and the Pandavas’ March to Kurukshetra
नते राज्यं प्रयच्छन्ति विना युद्धेन पाण्डव । विनाशहेतव: सर्वे प्रत्युपस्थितमृत्यव:
na te rājyaṁ prayacchanti vinā yuddhena pāṇḍava | vināśahetavaḥ sarve pratyupasthitamṛtyavaḥ pāṇḍunandana ||
न ते राज्यं प्रयच्छन्ति विना युद्धेन पाण्डव। विनाशहेतवः सर्वे प्रत्युपस्थितमृत्यवः॥
वायुदेव उवाच
When rightful claims are met with obstinate injustice, adharma tends to culminate in conflict; those who persist in wrongdoing become the instruments of their own downfall, and consequences mature in time.
Vāyudeva addresses a Pāṇḍava (contextually Yudhiṣṭhira), warning that the Kauravas will not restore the kingdom peacefully; he foretells that their destructive intent has ripened and their end is near, urging readiness for the unavoidable war.
