असम्भावितरूपस्त्वमानृशंस्यं करिष्यसि । तं॑ त्वामयशसा स्मृष्टं न ब्रूयां यदि संजय
asambhāvitarūpas tvam ānṛśaṁsyaṁ kariṣyasi | taṁ tvām ayaśasā smṛṣṭaṁ na brūyāṁ yadi sañjaya ||
असम्भावितरूपस्त्वमानृशंस्यं करिष्यसि। तं त्वामयशसा स्मृष्टं न ब्रूयां यदि संजय॥
पुत्र उवाच
Cruelty (ānṛśaṁsya) is a clear ethical failing that brings dishonor; moral speech should name and censure such conduct rather than remain silent.
A son addresses Sañjaya directly, warning that Sañjaya is about to commit a cruel act and asserting that it would be wrong not to call him disgraced for it.
