Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 133 — A Mother’s Counsel to Saṃjaya
पृष्ठतो<नुव्रजन्तं वा का शान्तिहदयस्य मे । यदि मैं यह देखूँ कि तू शत्रुसे मीठी-मीठी बातें करता तथा उसके पीछे-पीछे जाता है तो मेरे हृदयमें क्या शान्ति मिलेगी?
pṛṣṭhato 'nuvrajantaṃ vā kā śāntir hṛdayasya me | yadi māṃ etad dṛśyāt ki tvaṃ śatruse mīṭhī-mīṭhī bātẽ karatā tathā tasya pṛṣṭhataḥ pṛṣṭhataḥ gacchasi iti, tarhi mama hṛdaye kā śāntiḥ syāt ||
पृष्ठतोऽनुव्रजन्तं वा का शान्तिर्हृदयस्य मे। यदि त्वां पश्येयं शत्रुणा सह मधुरं भाषमाणं तस्य पृष्ठतः पृष्ठतो गच्छन्तं, कथं मे हृदयं शान्तिमवाप्नुयात्॥
