ययातिदौहित्रपुण्यसमुच्चयः | Yayāti and the Grandsons’ Consolidation of Merit

तदनन्तर तपस्विनी माधवीने उन पुत्रोंके सिरपर हाथ रखकर अपने पितासे कहा --'राजेन्द्र! ये सभी आपके दौहित्र (नाती) और मेरे पुत्र हैं, पराये नहीं हैं ।। इमे त्वां तारयिष्यन्ति दृष्टमेतत्‌ पुरातने । अहं ते दुहिता राजन्‌ माधवी मृगचारिणी

tadanantaraṃ tapasvinī mādhavī nūna putrāṇāṃ śirasi karaṃ nidhāya svapitaraṃ pratyuvāca— “rājendra! ime sarve tava dauhitrāḥ (nātayaḥ) mama ca putrāḥ, na parāyāḥ. ime tvāṃ tārayiṣyanti; dṛṣṭam etat purātane. ahaṃ te duhitā rājan mādhavī mṛgacāriṇī.”

तदनन्तरं तपस्विनी माधवी तेषां पुत्राणां शिरःस्पर्शं कृत्वा पितरं प्रत्युवाच—“राजेन्द्र, एते सर्वे तव दौहित्रा मम पुत्राश्च, न पराः। इमे त्वां तारयिष्यन्ति; दृष्टमेतत् पुरातने। अहं ते दुहिता राजन्, माधवी मृगचारिणी।”
