धर्मात्मा सततं भूत्वा कामात्मा समपद्यत | धर्मको आगे रखकर उस समय राजा नहुष सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके अधिपति हो गये। वे परम दुर्लभ वर पाकर स्वर्गके राज्यको हस्तगत करके निरन्तर धर्मपरायण रहते हुए भी कामभोगमें आसक्त हो गये

dharmātmā satataṁ bhūtvā kāmātmā samapadyata |

धर्मात्मा सन् सदा नहुषो नृपतिः कामात्मताम् अपद्यत। धर्मं पुरस्कृत्य स सर्वलोकाधिपतिं पदं प्राप्य, परमदुर्लभं वरं लब्ध्वा स्वर्गराज्यम् अपि हस्तगतं कृत्वा, नित्यं धर्मपरायण इव सन्नपि विषयभोगेष्वासक्तो बभूव।
