दक्षिणा-दिक्, पितृपक्ष-प्रतिष्ठा, तथा कर्मगतिः — Suparṇa’s Cosmographic Instruction

अड-#-#रू--ज अष्टाधिकशततमो< ध्याय: गरुड़का गालवसे पूर्व दिशाका वर्णन करना युपर्ण उवाच अनुशिष्टोडस्मि देवेन गालवाज्ञातयोनिना । ब्रूहि काम तु कां यामि द्रष्टं प्रथणमतो दिशम्‌,गरुड़ने कहा--गालव! अनादिदेव भगवान्‌ विष्णुने मुझे आज्ञा दी है कि मैं तुम्हारी सहायता करूँ। अतः तुम अपनी इच्छाके अनुसार बताओ कि मैं सबसे पहले किस दिशाकी ओर चलूँ?

Yuparṇa uvāca: anuśiṣṭo 'smi devena gālavājñātayoninā | brūhi kāmaṃ tu kāṃ yāmi draṣṭuṃ prathamatо diśam ||

यूपर्ण उवाच—देवेनाहं नियुक्तोऽस्मि गालवेनाज्ञातयोनिना। ब्रूहि कामं तु कां यामि द्रष्टुं प्रथमतो दिशम्॥
