धृतराष्ट्रस्य मूर्च्छा—व्यासोपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Collapse and Vyāsa’s Counsel
उस समय विश्वधारिणी पृथ्वीने वहाँ एकत्र हुए देवताओंके पास जाकर कहा --“'महाभाग देवताओ! आपलोगोंने उस दिन ब्रह्माजीकी सभामें मेरे जिस कार्यको सिद्ध करनेकी प्रतिज्ञा की थी, उसे शीघ्र पूर्ण कीजिये' ।। तस्यास्तदू वचन श्रुत्वा विष्णुलोकनमस्कृत: । उवाच वाकयं प्रहसन् पृथिवीं देवसंसदि
tadā viśvadhāriṇī pṛthivī tatra samāgatān devān upagamya uvāca— “mahābhāgā devatāḥ! yūyaṁ yadā brahmaṇaḥ sabhāyāṁ mama yat kāryaṁ sādhayiṣyāma iti pratijñātaṁ tat kṣipraṁ pūrayata” iti. tasyās tad u vācanaṁ śrutvā viṣṇulokanamaskṛtaḥ, uvāca vākyaṁ prahasan pṛthivīṁ devasasaṁsadi.
तदा विश्वधारिणी पृथिवी समागतान् देवान् उपगम्याब्रवीत्—‘महाभागा देवाः! ब्रह्मणः सभायां तस्मिन् दिने मम यत् कार्यं साधयिष्याम इति युष्माभिः प्रतिज्ञातं, तत् शीघ्रं पूर्यताम्।’ तस्यास्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा विष्णुलोकनमस्कृतः प्रहसन् देवसंसदि पृथिवीं प्रति वाक्यमुवाच।
