तथाविधस्य सुह्॒दा क्षन्तव्यं स्‍्वं विजानता । ऐश्वर्यमिच्छता नित्यं पुरुषेण बुभूषता,'जैसे सारथि अच्छे घोड़ेको सचेत करता है, उसी प्रकार यदि कोई मित्र मित्रको समझानेके लिये आया हो, मित्रकी हानि देखकर जो अत्यन्त दुखी हो और उसे सहन न कर सकनेके कारण जो हठपूर्वक अपने सुहृद्‌ राजाका हितसाधन करनेके लिये उसके पास आकर कहे कि “राजन! तुम्हारे इस धनका अपहरण हो रहा है” तो सदा ऐश्वर्य और उन्नतिकी इच्छा रखनेवाले विज्ञ एवं सुहृद्‌ पुछषको अपने उस हितकारी मित्रकी बात सुननी चाहिये और उसके अपराधको क्षमा कर देना चाहिये!
