ततः प्रत्यर्चित: सद्धिर्धर्मराजो युधिष्ठिर: । प्रतिपेदे महद् राज्यं सुहृद्धिः सह भारत,भरतनन्दन! तत्पश्चात् समागत सज्जनोंने धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरका पुनः सत्कार किया। फिर उन्होंने सुहदोंके साथ अपने विशाल राज्यका भार हाथोंमें ले लिया
tataḥ pratyarcitaḥ sadhbhiḥ dharmarājo yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | pratipede mahad rājyaṃ suhṛdbhiḥ saha bhārata bharatanandana ||
ततः प्रत्यर्चितः सद्भिर्धर्मराजो युधिष्ठिरः । प्रतिपेदे महद्राज्यं सुहृद्भिः सह भारत, भरतनन्दन ॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Legitimate rule is not merely possession of power but the ethical acceptance of responsibility (rājya-bhāra) supported by the virtuous (sadbhiḥ) and guided by dharma; honour from the good signals social consent and a return to righteous order.
After being respectfully welcomed and honoured by virtuous people, Yudhiṣṭhira—called Dharmarāja—formally takes up the governance of the vast kingdom, accompanied by his well-wishers and allies, marking the transition into stable rule in the Śānti Parva context.
