अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः
Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic
स एवमुक्तो भगवान् भूत्वाथान्तर्हितस्तत: । चिन्तयामास देवेशो बुद्धि बुद्धिमतां वर:,“ब्रह्माजीके ऐसा कहनेपर बुद्धिमानोंमें श्रेष्ठ देवेश्वर भगवान् विष्णुने अदृश्य होकर बुद्धिका चिन्तन किया
sa evam ukto bhagavān bhūtvāthāntarhitas tataḥ | cintayāmāsa deveśo buddhiṃ buddhimatāṃ varaḥ ||
स एवमुक्तो भगवान् भूत्वाथान्तर्हितस्ततः । चिन्तयामास देवेशो बुद्धिं बुद्धिमतां वरः ॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even divine action is shown as guided by buddhi—careful discernment. The verse highlights that wise deliberation, not impulse, is central to choosing a course aligned with dharma and the greater good.
After being addressed (in context, after Brahmā’s words), the Lord withdraws from sight and begins to deliberate internally, indicating a transition from dialogue to divine reflection and decision-making.
