Āścarya-kathana: Brāhmaṇa–Nāga Dialogue on Sūrya (Vivasvat) and the ‘Second Sun’ Phenomenon
पश्यत्येनं जायमान ब्रह्मा लोकपितामह:
paśyaty enaṃ jāyamānaṃ brahmā lokapitāmahaḥ
पश्यत्येनं जायमानं ब्रह्मा लोकपितामहः ॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores that significant births or manifestations are not merely private events but occur within a moral-cosmic framework: the creator himself is portrayed as witnessing them, implying legitimacy, purpose, and alignment with dharma.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that at the moment of this figure’s birth, Brahmā—the world-progenitor—looks on, elevating the scene and signaling that the birth has broader cosmic significance.
