Instruction on the Cessation of Craving
गृहस्थ एव यजते गृहस्थस्तप्यते तप: । गार्हस्थ्यमस्य धर्मस्य मूलं य्किंचिदेजते,गृहस्थ ही यज्ञ करता है, गृहस्थ ही तप करता है। मनुष्य जो कुछ भी चेष्टा करता है-- जिस किसी भी शुभ कर्मका आचरण करता है, उस धर्मका मूल कारण गार्हस्थ्य-आश्रम ही है
gṛhastha eva yajate gṛhasthas tapyate tapaḥ | gārhasthyam asya dharmasya mūlaṃ yat kiñcid ejate ||
