नारद–असित (देवल) संवादः — भूतप्रभवाप्यय, इन्द्रिय-गुण-विवेक, क्षेत्रज्ञ-तत्त्व

नायं लोको>स्त्ययज्ञानां परश्रेति विनिश्चय: । वेदवादविदश्नैव प्रमाणमु भयं तदा,यह निश्चय है कि जो यज्ञ नहीं करते हैं, ऐसे पुरुषोंके लिये न तो यह लोक सुखदायक होता है और न स्वर्ग ही। जो वेदोक्त विषयोंके जानकार हैं, वे प्रवृत्ति और निवृत्ति--दोनोंको ही प्रमाणभूत मानते हैं
