नारद उवाच
The verse itself is primarily descriptive, establishing the extraordinary, otherworldly presence of a feminine figure through symbolic colors and divine ornaments—often used in Śānti-parvan narratives to signal that the ensuing encounter or instruction carries moral and dharmic weight.
Nārada describes the appearance of a radiant, divinely adorned woman. The detailed visual markers (black-red garments, dark eye-regions, celestial jewelry) function as narrative cues that a significant revelation, message, or dharma-related episode is about to unfold.
