व्यास उवाच
Brahman is realized when the practitioner disciplines the sensory faculties and the mind, stabilizing them in the intellect; clarity and serenity of inner instruments allow the highest reality to manifest.
Vyāsa is instructing on yogic practice within the Śānti Parva’s liberation-oriented discourse, describing the inner sequence: restrain the five senses, anchor them in the mind, steady mind-and-senses in buddhi, and thereby attain direct realization of Brahman.
