प्रयत्नेनापि चारक्षच्चित्तं पुत्रस्य वै पिता
prayatnenāpi cārakṣac cittaṃ putrasya vai pitā
शक्र उवाच—प्रयत्नेनापि च रक्षच्चित्तं पुत्रस्य वै पिता; न हि सर्वथा शक्यते पितृस्नेहेन पुत्रस्य मनो निग्रहीतुं, यदा स्वयमेव धैर्यं दमश्च न विद्यते।
