भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights how a person’s condition can suddenly change with time (here, at dawn), inviting reflection on vigilance, self-control, and the ethical need to respond wisely when signs of disturbance or disorder appear.
Bhīṣma narrates that at daybreak someone named Kṛṣṇapiḍrala is observed to be in a disturbed/altered state, suggesting a turning point or an ominous development that prompts further explanation in the surrounding verses.
