Sahadeva on Attachment (mamatā), ‘mameti/na mameti’, and the Middle Path of Conduct

बाहाद्रव्यविमुक्तस्य शारीरेष्वनुगृध्यत: । यो धर्मो यत्‌ सुखं वा स्याद्‌ द्विषतां तत्‌ तथास्तु नः,बाहरी द्रव्योंसे दूर होकर दैहिक सुख-भोगोंमें आसक्त रहनेवालेको जो धर्म अथवा जो सुख प्राप्त होता हो, वह उस रूपमें हमारे शत्रुओंको ही मिले

bāhādravyavimuktasya śārīreṣv anugṛdhyataḥ | yo dharmo yat sukhaṃ vā syād dviṣatāṃ tat tathāstu naḥ ||

सहदेव उवाच— बाह्यद्रव्यविमुक्तस्य शारीरेष्वनुगृध्यतः । यो धर्मो यत् सुखं वा स्यात् द्विषतां तत् तथास्तु नः ॥
