शकुनि (हिरण्मय-पक्षी) उपदेशः — Vighasāśin and the Difficulty of Gārhasthya

अर्जुन उवाच ततस्ते तद्‌ वच: श्रुत्वा धर्मार्थसहितं हितम्‌ । उत्सृज्य नास्तीति गता गार्हस्थ्यं समुपाश्रिता:,अर्जुन कहते हैं--महाराज! वे ब्राह्मणकुमार पक्षिरूपधारी इन्द्रकी धर्म और अर्थयुक्त हितकर बातें सुनकर इस निश्चयपर पहुँचे कि हमलोग जिस मार्गपर चल रहे हैं वह हमारे लिये हितकर नहीं है। अत: वे उसे छोड़कर घर लौट गये और गृहस्थ-धर्मका पालन करते हुए वहाँ रहने लगे

arjuna uvāca tataste tad vacaḥ śrutvā dharmārthasahitaṃ hitam | utsṛjya nāstīti gatā gārhasthyaṃ samupāśritāḥ ||
