कुमारके अभिषेक और उनके द्वारा दैत्योंके वधका वृत्तान्त सुनकर मुझे बड़ा आनन्द प्राप्त हुआ है और पुनः मेरे मनमें इस विषयको सुननेकी उत्कण्ठा जाग्रत् हो गयी है ।।
Janamejaya uvāca | kumārake abhiṣekaṁ ca taiś ca daityavadhaṁ śrutvā mahad ānandaṁ prāpto 'smi punaś ca me manasi śrotum utkaṇṭhā jātaiva || apāṁ patiḥ kathaṁ hāsminn abhiṣiktaḥ purā suraiḥ | tan me brūhi mahāprājña kuśalo 'si sattama sādhūśiromaṇe ||
कुमारकेऽभिषेकं च दैत्यानां तेन वधं तथा । श्रुत्वा मे महदानन्दः पुनरेवाभ्यजायत ॥ अपां पतिः कथं ह्यस्मिन्नभिषिक्तः पुरा सुरैः । तन्मे ब्रूहि महाप्राज्ञ कुशलोऽसि सत्तम ॥
