कुमाराभिषेकप्रश्नः — Inquiry into Kumāra (Skanda) Investiture at Sarasvatī
कारणं श्रुतमस्माभि: शापश्चैव श्रुतो5नघे । करिष्यन्ति तु यत् प्राप्त सर्व एव तपोधना:,“निष्पाप सरस्वती! हमने शाप और उसका कारण सुन लिया। ये सभी तपोधन इस विषयमें समयोचित कर्तव्यका पालन करेंगे”
kāraṇaṃ śrutam asmābhiḥ śāpaś caiva śruto 'naghe | kariṣyanti tu yat prāptaṃ sarva eva tapodhanāḥ ||
कारणं श्रुतमस्माभिः शापश्चैव श्रुतोऽनघे । करिष्यन्ति तु यत् प्राप्तं सर्व एव तपोधनाः ॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
When the cause and the moral weight of an event (here, a curse and its origin) are understood, the proper response is timely, fitting action aligned with dharma—especially by those disciplined through tapas.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana states that the listeners have understood both the reason behind a curse and the curse itself, and that the assembled ascetics will now undertake the appropriate course of action demanded by the situation.
