Educational Q&A

When dharma is publicly violated, righteous anger is disciplined into accountable resolve: the warriors bind themselves by vows to confront specific agents of adharma, presenting the coming conflict as moral restitution rather than mere rivalry.

In the aftermath of the dice-hall humiliation and the Kauravas’ deceit, Bhīma declares a set of war-vows: he will kill Duryodhana, Arjuna will kill Karṇa, and Sahadeva will kill Śakuni, identifying the principal perpetrators and assigning their punishment.
