वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how collective martial energy—cries, roars, and the machinery of war—can overwhelm the world itself, hinting that warfare is not merely physical combat but a disruptive moral and social force whose consequences ‘shake the earth’.
A body of warriors is moving forward in force; their lion-like battle-cries, loud shouts, and the rumbling of chariot wheels create a tremendous din, described poetically as making the earth tremble.
