Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | ity uktaḥ prayayau pārthaḥ sainyena mahatā vṛtaḥ | sa-sainyāḥ prayayuḥ sarve dharmarājena pūjitāḥ ||
इत्युक्तः प्रययौ पार्थः सैन्येन महता वृतः। ससैन्याः प्रययुः सर्वे धर्मराजेन पूजिताः॥
वैशग्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic procedure in state action: even a forceful enterprise begins with clear instruction, royal authorization, and mutual honor—power is framed by duty, hierarchy, and respectful conduct.
After receiving instructions, Arjuna departs accompanied by a large army; similarly, the others also set out with their forces, having been formally honored by Yudhiṣṭhira, marking the organized commencement of their expedition.
