अवमुच्य किरीटं स केशान् समनुगृहा[ च । उदतिष्ठज्जरासंधो वेलातिग इवार्णव:
avamucya kirīṭaṃ sa keśān samanugṛhya ca | udatiṣṭhaj jarāsandho velātiga ivārṇavaḥ ||
अवमुच्य किरीटं स केशान् समनुगृह्य च । उदतिष्ठज्जरासन्धो वेलातिग इवार्णवः ॥
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
The simile of the ocean crossing its shore suggests that martial energy and ambition, if unchecked, can transgress proper limits; dharma requires restraint even amid kṣatriya valor.
Jarāsandha, preparing for combat, removes his crown and tightens his hair, then rises ready to fight, compared to a vast ocean swelling as though to overrun its boundary.
