राजसूयविचारः — Deliberation on the Rajasuya and the Summoning of Kṛṣṇa
प्रादाच्च द्रविणं प्रीत्या याचकानां नरेश्वर: । यथोक्तवन्तस्ते तस्मिंस्तत: पठचगुणाधिकम्
prādāc ca draviṇaṃ prītyā yācakānāṃ nareśvaraḥ | yathoktavantas te tasmiṃs tataḥ pañcaguṇādhikam ||
प्रादाच्च द्रविणं प्रीत्या याचकानां नरेश्वरः। यथोक्तवन्तस्ते तस्मिंस्ततः पञ्चगुणाधिकम्॥
नारद उवाच
A righteous ruler practices dāna not as a minimal duty but as an expansive virtue: giving with prīti (gladness) and exceeding what is asked reflects inner integrity, compassion, and commitment to dharma.
Nārada describes a king at a sacrificial occasion distributing wealth to petitioners; whatever amount they requested, he granted five times that amount, highlighting exemplary royal generosity.
