Educational Q&A

The verse highlights a layered moral universe where exalted sages and divine seers coexist with fearsome flesh-eating beings and powerful Gandharvas, implying that a single realm may contain both purity and danger; discernment and restraint are therefore essential.

Nārada is describing the kinds of beings found “here” (in the place under discussion in this section), listing revered sages, divine seers, formidable Gandharvas, and also kravyādas—indicating the region’s mixed and potentially perilous population.
