Maya’s Offer and the Commissioning of the Sabhā
codito vāsudevas tu mayena bharatarṣabha | muhūrtam iva sandadhyau kim ayaṁ codyatām iti ||
The verse emphasizes prudent discernment: even when a request is imminent, a wise guide (Kṛṣṇa) reflects on what is appropriate and beneficial before encouraging action. Ethical counsel involves timing, suitability, and foresight rather than haste.
Mayāsura urges Kṛṣṇa regarding a forthcoming request connected with the assembly-hall matter. Kṛṣṇa pauses briefly, thinking about what exactly Maya should be prompted to ask—signaling careful consideration before proceeding.
