Chapter 45
एते द्रुपदपुत्राश्न धृष्टद्युम्नपुरोगमा: । स्फीता: सत्यजितो वीरास्तिष्ठन्ति परमौजस:
ete drupadaputrāś ca dhṛṣṭadyumnapurogamāḥ | sphītāḥ satyajito vīrās tiṣṭhanti paramaujasaḥ ||
एते द्रुपदपुत्राश्च धृष्टद्युम्नपुरोगमाः। स्फीताः सत्यजितो वीरास्तिष्ठन्ति परमौजसः॥
शल्य उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical weight of warfare by emphasizing disciplined readiness and rightful leadership: formidable warriors stand prepared under a recognized commander, reminding the listener that battle is shaped not only by force but by organization, duty, and resolve.
Śalya points out the Pāṇḍava-side formation: Drupada’s sons are present and arrayed for combat, with Dhṛṣṭadyumna at their head and Satyajit among the notable heroes, signaling the strength and preparedness of the opposing force.
