Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
हंसस्य पतितं काको बलवानाशुविक्रम: । तब वहाँ आये हुए सारे कौए जोर-जोरसे हँसने लगे और आपसमें बोले--“भला यह हंस एक ही उड़ानसे सौ प्रकारकी उड़ानोंको कैसे जीत सकता है? यह कौआ बलवान् और शीघ्रतापूर्वक उड़नेवाला है; अतः सौमेंसे एक ही उड़ानद्वारा हंसकी उड़ानको पराजित कर देगा'
haṃsasya patitaṃ kāko balavān āśu-vikramaḥ |
हंसस्य पतितं काको बलवानाशुविक्रमः । ततः समागताः काकाः प्रहस्योच्चैः परस्परमब्रुवन्—कथं ह्येष हंस एकेन पातेन शतधा पातान् जेष्यति? अयं काकः बलवान् शीघ्रगामी च; अतः शतेषु पातेषु एकेनैव हंसस्य पातं पराजेष्यति ॥
