Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
उनमेंसे कुछ उड़ानोंके
kartāsmi miṣatāṁ vo 'dya tato drakṣyatha me balam | teṣām anyatamena ahaṁ patiṣyāmi vihāyasam ||
काक उवाच—अद्य वो मिषतां कर्तास्मि; ततः द्रक्ष्यथ मे बलम् । तेषामन्यतमेनाहं पतिष्यामि विहायसम् ॥
काक उवाच
The verse highlights the performative nature of boasting: claims of power are tested by action in public view. Ethically, it contrasts mere assertion with demonstrable capability, a recurring Mahābhārata concern in evaluating worth and credibility.
The speaker, Kāka (the crow), declares that while the audience watches he will demonstrate his strength by taking flight using one among the previously enumerated styles or techniques of flying.
