Educational Q&A

Even the highest beings exemplify humility and service within dharma: the ‘Grandsire’ is portrayed as taking the role of a charioteer for Śiva, underscoring that true greatness can include willing service and reverence toward the divine order.

Śalya introduces (or continues) a marvelous, superhuman account that is being told and heard, specifically highlighting the episode in which Brahmā (the prapitāmaha) acted as the charioteer of Bhava (Śiva).
