Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 95 — Sātyaki’s Breakthrough and the Routing of Allied Contingents
अभीषाहा: शूरसेना: शिबयो5थ वसातय: । अभ्यवर्षस्ततो राजन् शरवर्षर्धन॑जयम्,महाराज! वहाँ अभीषाह, शूरसेन, शिबि और वसाति-देशीय सैनिकगण अर्जुनपर बाणोंकी वर्षा करने लगे
abhīṣāhāḥ śūrasenāḥ śibayo 'tha vasātayaḥ | abhyavarṣas tato rājan śaravarṣaṃ dhanañjayam ||
सञ्जय उवाच—ततो राजन् अभीषाहाः शूरसेनाः शिबयश्च वसातयश्च धनञ्जयम् अभ्यवर्षन् शरवर्षेण।
संजय उवाच
Even a righteous champion may face concentrated opposition; the episode highlights steadiness under pressure and the ethical tension of war where many unite to overwhelm a key warrior, testing resolve and discipline.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that multiple allied contingents—Abhīṣāhas, Śūrasenas, Śibis, and Vasāti warriors—coordinate to unleash a dense barrage of arrows at Arjuna (Dhanañjaya).
