स तवास्त्रोपदेशेन वीर्येण च समन्वितः । प्राविशत् तद्धलं बालः सुपर्ण इव सागरम् ॥
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse highlights the power of proper instruction (astropadeśa) combined with personal courage (vīrya). It also implicitly raises an ethical tension: competence gained through training can enable extraordinary feats, yet deploying a mere child in war carries heavy moral responsibility.
Yudhiṣṭhira describes a young boy, equipped with the listener’s weapons-training and fortified by valor, entering a formidable army/host. The simile compares his bold entry to Garuḍa plunging into the ocean, emphasizing fearlessness and overwhelming momentum.
