आसीतू सुविद्धलो राजन् यथा दृष्टस्त्वया विभु: । फिर वे हथियार डालकर अपने प्राणोंकी ममतासे रहित हो अचेत हो गये। राजन! उस समय शक्तिशाली होनेपर भी वे कितने व्याकुल हो गये थे, यह आपने प्रत्यक्ष देखा था

अर्जुन उवाच—राजन्, यथा स विभुः सुविद्धोऽभूत् तथा त्वयैव दृष्टः। स शस्त्राणि निक्षिप्य प्राणेष्वनासक्तो मूर्च्छित इवापतत्; बलवानपि स तदा व्याकुलतया कम्पितो दृष्टः।
