Educational Q&A

The verse itself is primarily narrative, but it highlights how pivotal leaders—bound by loyalty, ambition, and martial duty—shape the moral trajectory of war. It invites reflection on how authority and counsel can intensify adharma when driven by pride and attachment.

Sañjaya lists key Kaurava figures in sequence—Duryodhana, Karṇa, Droṇa, and Duḥśāsana—marking that the focus is moving to their actions or decisions in the next moment of the battle account.
