विच्छिन्नानि तथा राजन् बलान्यासन् विशाम्पते । प्रजापालक नरेश! जैसे हवा बादलोंको चारों ओर उड़ा देती है, उसी प्रकार अर्जुनने आपकी सेनाओं को छिजन्न-भिन्न कर दिया
vicchinnāni tathā rājan balānyāsan viśāmpate |
सञ्जय उवाच— एवं राजन् तव बलानि विच्छिन्नानि व्यशीर्यन्त विशाम्पते। यथा वायुः मेघान् सर्वतो विद्रावयति तथा पार्थोऽर्जुनस्तव सेनाः छिन्नभिन्ना अकरोत्॥
