श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
The verse functions as a stark catalogue of weapons, highlighting how warfare multiplies instruments of harm. In dharmic reflection, it warns that when conflict dominates, human ingenuity is diverted from protection and order toward ever more efficient destruction.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa describes (or recounts) the battle’s ferocity by listing the various weapons being used—spears, javelins, lances, staves, heavy weapons, swords, and axes—conveying the intensity and all-sided nature of the fighting in the Drona Parva.
