श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
The verse underscores the tangible aftermath of war: the earth is strewn with arrows, sharp weapons, and fallen conveyances. By making the battlefield itself the object of attention, Kṛṣṇa prompts a sober ethical awareness of violence and its costs, even when war is pursued under the banner of royal duty.
Kṛṣṇa points out to his listener the state of the battlefield—ground covered with golden-fletched arrows, diverse sharp weapons, and mounts/vehicles—highlighting the intensity of the fighting and the widespread devastation caused by the combatants.
