Adhyāya 141 — Night duels: Śaineya and Bhūriśravas; Droṇi and Ghaṭotkaca; Bhīma and Duryodhana
ततः क्रुद्ध: शरानस्यथन् सूतपुत्रो व्यरोचत
tataḥ kruddhaḥ śarān asyathan sūtaputro vyarocata
ततः क्रुद्धः शरानस्यथन् सूतपुत्रो व्यरोचत।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how anger can intensify action and display of power in war; it implicitly cautions that prowess fueled by wrath may be dazzling yet ethically perilous, as it drives escalation rather than restraint.
Sañjaya narrates that Karṇa, provoked and furious, begins to rain arrows on the battlefield, standing out conspicuously as he advances the fight.
