Śalya–Bhīma Gadāyuddham (मद्रराज-भीमसेन गदायुद्धम्)
स ब्हिबहाॉवततं किंकिणीशतजालवत् | चर्म चादाय खड्गं च नदन् पर्यपतद् रथात्,वह मोरकी पाँखसे आच्छादित और सैकड़ों क्षुद्र घंटिकाओंके समूहसे अलंकृत ढाल और खड्ग लेकर गर्जता हुआ अपने रथसे कूद पड़ा
sa bibhrat kāñcanīṃ śata-kiṅkiṇī-jāla-vat | carma cādāya khaḍgaṃ ca nadan paryapatad rathāt ||
स किंकिणीशतजालवद् अलङ्कृतं चर्म आदाय खड्गं च, नदन् रथात् पर्यपतत्।
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma in its battlefield form: when duty demands, a warrior must act with courage and readiness, meeting peril directly rather than clinging to safety or hesitation.
Sañjaya describes a warrior who, armed with a bell-adorned shield and sword, roars and jumps down from his chariot—signaling an escalation to close combat and a decisive, aggressive move in the fight.
