Droṇa-parva 139
स रवस्तस्य शूरस्य धर्मराजस्य भारत । आचख्याविव तद् युद्ध विजयं चात्मनो महत्,भारत! उस सिंहनादने धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरको शूरवीर भीमके उस युद्धकी तथा अपनी महान् विजयकी मानो सूचना दे दी
sa ravastasyāḥ śūrasya dharmarājasya bhārata | ācakhyāv iva tad yuddha-vijayaṃ cātmano mahat ||
स रवस्तस्य शूरस्य धर्मराजस्य भारत। आचख्याविव तद् युद्धं विजयं चात्मनो महत्॥
संजय उवाच
Even in the harsh setting of war, the epic frames victory as meaningful when it strengthens the side aligned with dharma; the hero’s roar functions as moral reassurance to the dharma-king that righteousness has not been eclipsed by violence.
Sañjaya reports that Bhīma’s thunderous roar sounded like a message to Yudhiṣṭhira, indicating that the combat had ended in success and that Bhīma had achieved a great victory.
